Business In The Streets (BITS) helps enterprising youth facing barriers to employment unleash their leadership and professional potential through financial literacy training, business support, mentorship, and enterprise acceleration support. Their safe and real-world learning environment demonstrates that in-class learning is not always the most effective method, and that education must be accessible to all.
Veronika Kvon is a business leader with a passion for mentoring and building economic strength with marginalized people. BITS was awarded this grant to support Veronika’s enrollment in Ryerson University’s Nonprofit Management courses. Exposure to established not-for-profit models, their growth strategy, and leadership and success factors will greatly build upon Veronika’s existing foundational knowledge in business management and grassroots organizing.
