Moorelands Community Services provides Toronto’s children and youth affected by poverty with positive and fun experiences to help strengthen their confidence, competence and character. Program participants develop and practice critical thinking and decision making, emotional intelligence, and interpersonal skills like communication and conflict resolution. This year to mark Canada 150, youth will go to Mooreland’s Wilderness camp in Muskoka and create a six-week nature walk timeline to celebrate significant moments in Canadian history and to map their hopes for future.
