Skills for Change (SFC) works across the GTA, offering a range of accelerated programming, including youth leadership, youth and women entrepreneurship, skilled trades training, integrated language/skills training, employment preparation, and settlement services. The Step Ahead Program links low-income youth from different cultural backgrounds with long-term employment and recreation opportunities. Youth create their own curriculum, go on site visits to community recreation centres, meet with university and local sports teams, develop work plans, community impact strategies, their own project outcomes, and get placements teaching and training recreation.
