Toronto Inner-City Rugby Foundation (TIRF) builds community by working with schools and not-for-profits using the skills and values of the game of rugby to impact the lives of youth from underserved communities. TIRF’s model connects schools and community organizations to rugby clubs by building supportive infrastructure for collaboration. TIRF places an emphasis on both career building and community development.
At TIRF, Ige bridges the worlds of the financial, non-for-profit and education sectors, using the ethos and values of Rugby to foster caring and compassionate citizens. TIRF was awarded this grant to support Ige to attend the NFP Governance Essentials Program at the Rotman School of Management, the Rugby Expo, and the Beyond Rugby Conference.
