WoodGreen Community Services

WoodGreen is one of the largest social service agencies in Toronto, helping seniors live independently, internationally-trained professionals enter the job market, parents access childcare, children and youth access after-school programs, newcomers settle in to Canadian life, homeless and marginalized people get off the streets and job-seekers find meaningful employment and training.

Stephen is a leader in establishing financial wellness services for low-income populations. Stephen also heads up WoodGreen’s volunteer services unit, overseeing 800 volunteers involved in over 25 programs. WoodGreen was awarded this grant help Stephen participate in a variety of learning opportunities to deepen his knowledge of social enterprise development and operations, including attending three courses as part of the Certificate of Entrepreneurship led by MaRS and the University of Toronto.
