The goal is to connect philanthropy to the greatest needs. In 2018-19 the Toronto Foundation community made grants to 828 charitable organizations, for a total value of $19M.
Grants are made in two key ways:
|1. Fundholders grant their own funds to the organizations and issues they care about.||2. Toronto Foundation makes strategic grants to high-impact organizations in Toronto tackling inequities.|
But impact is about more than numbers.
Tangible and sustainable change is created when donors listen and learn more deeply and get involved:
