Our family set up our foundation in December 2017 as part of the Vision 2020 initiative of the Toronto Foundation.
What is the Vision 2020 Initiative?
115 of Toronto’s Millennial and Gen X philanthropists are challenging stereotypes about their generations and collectively pledging their own wealth to build the city’s urban resilience. Taking part in a learning journey that includes "in class" curriculum sessions and travelling to different parts of our city, these young philanthropists are working hand-in-hand with community leaders and residents from across the city to invest in projects that will strengthen the city’s social fabric. What does the Gokhale Cheung-Seekit Family Foundation do?
At the present time, our Foundation looks to invest in causes and leaders that are close to our head and hearts and have a focus on equity, education and newcomers in Toronto. We are also keen to explore the interests that our children identify as they begin to navigate the world around them.
This Fund’s granting purpose is subject to change at the request of the Donor Advisor.
