Mission: The Dream Legacy Foundation supports grassroots capacity building and promotes economic inclusion of marginalized communities to create a more representative, sustainable and resilient society.

Vision: We envision an inclusive market economy in which systemic barriers are eradicated and the contributions of under represented groups are amplified and valued. Our commitment is to changing the narrative for Black communities through social finance and entrepreneurship; together with our sector partners we seek to advance the well-being of all people.

About Us
Founded by Isaac Olowolafe Jr., the Dream Legacy Foundation is a philanthropic organization that serves as a diversity and inclusion social thought leader advocating for the millions of talented members of Black and racialized communities. At the Dream Legacy Foundation (DLF), we believe that the entrepreneurial talent and the drive for innovation exists within every community and neighborhood in Canada.

We seek to affect system level change and believe this is possible when the private, public, and non-profit sector join forces to co-create solutions. We mobilize networks to invest in the resilience and ingenuity of visible minorities and young people in marginalized communities.

Dream Legacy Foundation Areas of Focus:

  • Health Research
  • Entrepreneurship
  • Economic Inclusion
  • Financial Literacy
  • Cultural Awareness
  • Community Convening

Notable Dream Legacy Foundation programs and initiatives include Canada’s first Black Innovation Fellowship, the Isaac Olowolafe Jr. Digital Media Experience Lab, the Olowolafe Family Scholarship and various programs built to support tech start-ups led by black entrepreneurs. Our goal is to continue to foster capacity building connections to industry, facilitate access to capital, and leave a legacy of economic inclusion.
