BE A CHAMPION FOR COMMUNITY-LED CHANGE  

Fundholders: now you too can galvanize grassroots work. Until December 31,2024, your grant via Donor Central or donation (below) to the Community–Led Change Fund will support the nonprofits amongst this year’s Toronto’s Vital Signs Grantees.

Small organizations often serve the most vulnerable and since COVID the demands on them are greater than ever. Nonprofits are often doing the heavy lifting—without official charitable status—because it takes time, capacity and money that many groups can't spare.  

These groups are integral to community building. That’s why the charitable sector extensively lobbied the Government of Canada to allow funders like Toronto Foundation to directly fund nonprofits without charitable status. These groups are a beacon, shining light on the power of local organizing, and residents coming together to identify and action solutions.
