The Conference of Minority Transportation Officials (COMTO) is the leading advocacy organization for employment diversity, inclusion and contracting opportunities in the multi-modal, multi-billion-dollar transportation industry.
COMTO was founded in 1971 in the United States. In March 2020, the Toronto & Region Chapter was formed - making COMTO an international organization.
Our mission is to advance and broaden the transportation industry to more effectively mirror the communities it serves, by creating opportunities for our members through high-level collaborations and partnerships with organizations across various sectors
At his time, COMTO Toronto & Region Scholarship Fund was established in 2024 to assist students from underrepresented backgrounds interested in a career in the transportation sector.
