Fees:

We offer a competitive graduated fee structure. While fees at a private firm or bank only boost company margins, Toronto Foundation reinvests your fees directly into community.

Our approach

The Community Capital Pool is run by Outsourced Chief Investment Officer (OCIO), RockCreek Canada, with oversight from Toronto Foundation's staff and Investment Committee.

About our OCIO:

Established in 2003 by a leadership team of former World Bank CIO’s, RockCreek brings a track record of delivering consistent returns driven by a rigorous investment process.

Combining the power of pooling with an OCIO, you gain:

  • Institutional-grade investment options
  • Expert oversight without hiring in-house
  • Active risk management for volatile times
  • Shared governance and efficiency

All of this adds up to better returns, more impact and less work, for you.

Plus, our commitment to responsible investing means strong returns that are values-aligned.

NEW: Now operating under OSC exemption

Toronto Foundation is now one of the few charities in Ontario with a customized exemption from the Ontario Securities Commission (OSC) that formally recognizes our role as an investment pooling platform for other charities. This distinction underscores that our Community Capital Pool is structured and overseen to meet regulatory expectations while staying true to our charitable purpose.

We acknowledge we are on the traditional territories of the Huron-Wendat, the Anishinabek Nation, the Haudenosaunee Confederacy and the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation. While Indigenous communities in Toronto remain strong, vibrant, and resilient, they need support to address and overcome the impact of colonialism and systemic inequalities. Furthering Indigenous reconciliation and sovereignty are integral to achieving a more fair and just society where everyone can thrive.

We aim to be an ally and to fund local Indigenous organizations.
