ENAGB Indigenous Youth Agency
Founded in 2018, ENAGB has been growing steadily ever since to meet the urgent need for youth-led and youth-specific programming designed by and for Indigenous youth. At the heart of the organization is the ENAGB Youth Council, a governing body of Indigenous youth that sit directly alongside the board of directors to ensure that all programs, initiatives, and decisions align with the needs, values, and visions of Indigenous youth within the GTA. Programing includes land-based learning, leadership development, cultural programming, case management, and wellness activitiesâproviding wraparound services to those seeking support. By creating spaces that honor youth voice and autonomy, ENAGB is nurturing the next generation of strong, independent, Indigenous leaders.
Memtigwaake Kinomaage Maawnjiding (A Place in the Bush to Gather and Teach) is a 2.7-acre cultural site along the Humber River. This urban land-based space is open to the community and offers opportunities for ceremony, cultural teachings and healing in a natural setting. It reflects ENAGBâs commitment to restoring access to Indigenous land, knowledge and traditions in urban environments.
In 2026 weâll launch ENAGBâs Competition Powwow at Woodbine Park. This large-scale cultural gathering has been a long-term vision of the Youth Council and we are proud to bring it to life. The Powwow will welcome thousands of dancers and visitors from across Turtle Island, celebrating Indigenous identity, resilience and community pride.
