What does Malakas at Maganda mean?

Malakas at Maganda is Filipino for Strong and Beautiful.

What is Malakas at Maganda Foundation?

Malakas at Maganda Foundation strives to support registered charities that serve Filipina caregivers and individuals affected by breast cancer, helping ensure access to meaningful programs, services, and resources during a vulnerable time.

As many caregivers face financial strain and limited support, it is important that they are able to prioritize their health and wellbeing. Grants will be made to registered charities delivering programs and supports to this community in their time of need. Examples may include wellness supports, care packages, or other charitable initiatives that directly benefit caregivers.

In addition to supporting individuals affected by breast cancer, the Malakas at Maganda Foundation also seeks to advance breast cancer awareness and screening within the local community. This may be carried out through educational initiatives and partnerships with health centres and other community organizations.

Who is behind Malakas at Maganda Foundation?

Our Social Impact Advisors are Avery Muradali, a Physiology student at McGill University, and Coco Muradali, a Business Administration and Financial Mathematics student at Wilfrid Laurier University.

Where will your donation go?

Funds raised will be distributed through registered charities that have identified affected individuals who are in need of financial support.

At this time, the fund’s primary focus is supporting Filipina caregivers (e.g. nannies, nurses, personal support workers, mothers). In the spirit of inclusiveness, we may, from time to time, also opt to provide financial support to breast cancer patients from other ethnicities.

How can you donate?
