J and R, already campers, met at camp in 1966, almost 60 years ago and they are still together.
With their years at camp they met new friends, experienced new things and most importantly created fond life long memories.
The Cookie JaR is here to help children go to over-night summer camp. It's for children with special needs and/or those needing financial assistance to "reach in" and get some assistance to attend over-night summer camp.
At this time, the Cookie JaR gives directly to charities that run a camp, like CAMPFIRE, or charities that provide financial assistance to attend camp like AMICI.
Their hope is that children will enjoy their time at camp, meet new friends and participate in new adventures resulting in learning life lessons and broadening their outlook. As a result of these positive experiences they will mature and develop life long memories from their days at camp.
