Association for Native Development in the Performing and Visual Arts (ANDPVA)

ANDPVA creates healing through the arts by offering safe spaces and initiatives that support the wellbeing of Indigenous communities. The organization focuses on supporting and preserving traditional knowledge, advancing cultural identities, and showcasing evolving cultural expressions. In ANDPVA’s early days in the 70s, the First Nations, Métis and Inuit arts scene was relatively inactive due to the debilitating impacts of colonization. Now ANDPVA actively supports Indigenous artists, Elders, Knowledge Keepers and Survivors, acknowledging their invaluable contributions to cultural preservation and community resilience.

ANDPVA gives voice to the voiceless and creates safe spaces for artists and Survivors to tell their stories as a catalyst for transformative change for both artist and audience.
