Kate and Tom Taylor established this foundation in December of 2011. Both Kate and Tom have been active community members in Newmarket and York Region over the decades. They decided to continue their community involvement through charitable giving through the Toronto Foundation. In 2018 the size of the fund was doubled with contributions from Kate and Tom’s children - India Taylor, Leah Taylor Roy, Theresa Taylor and John Taylor. As such, it has been renamed the Tom and Kate Taylor Family Foundation.
What does the Taylor Family Foundation support?
Our Foundation looks to invest in causes and leaders that are connected to or benefit the residents of Newmarket. We give to causes we know well through personal involvement – focusing on community building, supporting the unhoused, building an inclusive community and addressing environmental concerns.
