Light of Lior Fund

If you knew Lior, you know how deeply loved he was.

He was a husband, a son, a brother, an uncle, a friend, and someone whose life touched so many others. His humor, quick wit, and uncanny ability to find the one embarrassing thing hiding in the background of a photo are just a few of the things that made Lior, Lior.

When Lior was diagnosed with grade 4 glioblastoma in March 2026, all of us who loved him were suddenly introduced to a disease no one should ever have to know this well.

Tragically, Lior’s disease progressed with devastating speed, and on October 8, 2026, we lost someone who meant the world to so many of us.

We are grateful that Lior was able to see the outpouring of love and support that inspired this fund. While nothing can ease the heartbreak of losing him, knowing that he saw just how much he meant to so many people brings us some comfort.

Glioblastoma is an aggressive and devastating form of brain cancer, and there is still so much work to be done to give people diagnosed with it better treatments, better outcomes, and more time. Time that Lior, and everyone who loved him, deserved so much more of.

We established the Light of Lior Fund to give those who know and love Lior a way to show their support and to create something meaningful in his honor. Though we had hoped for more time with him, our mission remains the same: to ensure that Lior’s light continues to shine and that his legacy makes a difference for others.

Every dollar raised will help create a lasting legacy in Lior’s honor. Our intention is to support meaningful work in the fight for better treatments and outcomes for people facing glioblastoma, among other opportunities that reflect the spirit and purpose of this fund. As emerging community needs arise, this fund may also honor Lior’s legacy by supporting other causes that were close to his heart.

We will be taking the time to do our due diligence and ensure that these contributions find the right home to deliver maximum impact.

If you loved Lior, know someone affected by brain cancer, or simply want to help create a meaningful legacy in his memory, we hope you’ll join us.

We may not be able to change the road that brought us here. But together, in Lior’s honor, we can help change the road for those who come after him.
