Canada’s Housing Crisis: The Time to Act is Now

A staggering 4.4 million affordable and accessible homes are needed to restore balance to Canada’s housing system, according to a 2023 report from the Office of the Federal Housing Advocate. The need is urgent, but through collective investment, shared knowledge, and a unified voice, Partners for Affordable Housing is facilitating and accelerating the creation of the deeply affordable homes so desperately needed by Canadians.

Why Your Support Matters

At Partners for Affordable Housing, we believe that together, we can make a real impact. But we can’t do it alone. The housing crisis affects us all, and it will take all of us—community housing providers, the public and private sectors, and individuals like you—to solve it.

By supporting Partners for Affordable Housing, you’re playing a vital role in breaking down the barriers that prevent housing projects from moving forward. At this time, your contributions will help non-profit community housing providers:

  • Fund essential pre-construction work, such as planning, permits, and land acquisition, ensuring projects are ready to begin.
  • Provide the critical funding needed to close financial gaps, so shovel-ready projects can start construction without delay.

With your support, these efforts will lead directly to the creation of deeply affordable homes—homes that can be built faster and made available sooner to the people who need them most.

Be Part of the Solution
