Help Turn Promise Into Progress
Our daughter, Penny, lives with a rare form of muscular dystrophy called Selenon (SEPN1)–related myopathy — a progressive condition that currently has no treatment.
Through the generosity of our community, we’ve already raised over $250,000 to fund groundbreaking research at Boston Children’s Hospital and University College Cork (Ireland). These international studies are bringing us closer to a treatment — not just for Penny, but for children around the world living with Selenon RM.
We’re continuing to expand our impact by targeting new research projects at additional research sites — bringing more scientists, labs, and ideas into the fight to find a cure.
There are two ways you can support us:
🩷 1) Join Penny’s Dollar Cure Club
Our monthly donor circle is a simple, powerful way to make an ongoing impact.
By giving as little as $3 a month, you’ll join a growing community funding real scientific breakthroughs, one dollar at a time. Together, we believe small acts of hope can lead to life-changing discoveries.
💫 2) Make a One-Time Donation
Every contribution — big or small — helps accelerate research and is eligible for a charitable tax receipt through the Toronto Foundation.
Our immediate focus is advancing research for Selenon (SEPN1)–related myopathy, but our long-term vision is to expand this momentum to other rare diseases — so that progress for Penny can pave the way for many others still waiting for answers.
Thank you so much for helping us turn promise into progress. 💕
