Please join us in welcoming the newest members of our Board of Directors, Ava-Dayna Sefa and Eugenia Duodu-Addy! We are excited about the expertise, leadership and insights they bring to Toronto Foundation and look forward to working together.
Ava-Dayna is a business and public policy professional with extensive experience working across the private, public and non-profit sectors at organizations including the World Bank and CPP Investment Board. In her current role as Manager, Social Impact at Generation Capital (a private wealth firm in Toronto), she manages the philanthropic and impact investing activities of two foundations and individual clients. Ava-Dayna is passionate about applying market-based approaches to address pressing social issues. She holds a Master of Global Affairs from the Munk School at the University of Toronto, and an undergraduate degree in English and Political Science from McMaster University. Ava-Dayna is also a board member at Options for Homes.
Eugenia is a scientist, educator, speaker and community organizer. She is the CEO of Visions of Science and acts as an advocate, consultant and thought leader in various areas related to STEM equity and community development. She is passionate about ensuring that youth receive equitable opportunities to achieve their full potential. She holds an HB.Sc. in Chemistry and Biology and a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Toronto.
