The Angela Longo Leadership Fund

A meaningful tribute born out of partnership

Cancer took Angela Longo away from her family, friends and colleagues much too soon.
In a public service career spanning three decades, she left a profound and lasting impression on nearly every person she encountered. To celebrate Angela’s remarkable life, her family and friends established the Angela Longo Leadership Fund at Toronto Foundation.

After learning about Angela’s passion for her profession and her giving spirit, it was clear that she cared deeply about helping others develop their own leadership potential. We recently introduced Angela’s family and friends to the great work being done through CivicAction’s DiverseCity Fellows program. The program convenes rising leaders from a diversity of world views, industries, identities and experiences who are passionate about shaping their community. Together they struck a partnership and the Fund’s support has contributed to a great year of leadership experiences for the current cohort through the delivery of workshops, mentorship and other valuable learning experiences.

Toronto Foundation is honoured to have supported this meaningful partnership and tribute for Angela who was a lifelong learner, mentor and friend.
Meet this year’s CivicAction’s DiverseCity Fellows.
